Delhi's winter kicks in early this year
India
Delhi's winter is kicking in early this year, with temperatures dropping lower than usual.
Monday saw a chilly 11.6°C minimum—2 to 4 degrees below normal, says the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The cold is thanks to winds blowing in from the Himalayas, and both daytime and nighttime temps are set to stay on the cooler side.
Cold wave warnings out for parts of central India
IMD expects these cold wave vibes to stick around for another four to five days.
Winds could pick up speed, making it feel even colder. Plus, mornings might get extra foggy and smoggy—so visibility and air quality could take a hit.
Cold wave warnings are also out for parts of central India like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand until November 11.
