ED uncovers evidence in Delhi classroom 'Scam'
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has uncovered key evidence in a major Delhi school construction scam.
Raids across 37 locations turned up over 300 suspicious bank passbooks and official files, all linked to alleged fund diversion during the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government.
The investigation began after an anti-corruption FIR named top AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain.
₹2,000cr misused for Delhi school construction, claims ED
According to the ED, more than ₹2,000 crore meant for building classrooms was misused between 2015 and 2023.
The project expanded from 2,405 to nearly 13,000 classrooms—without proper approvals—sending costs soaring.
Investigators say they found fake bills and inflated expenses through shell companies.
Meanwhile, AAP has called the raids politically motivated and denies any wrongdoing.
