Etah: 19-year-old woman raped and murdered, accused in custody

A 19-year-old woman was tragically raped and killed in Uttar Pradesh's Etah district.
Police say a 28-year-old man lured her to a mustard field on the pretext of helping with wood, then assaulted and strangled her when she resisted.
Her semi-nude body was discovered in a drain near her village late on November 18.

Quick police action, ongoing investigation

After the victim's family filed a complaint, police moved fast—arresting the accused from the same village.
He reportedly confessed during questioning and was said to be intoxicated at the time.
The suspect is now in judicial custody as police continue their investigation.
