Fake bomb threats plague Bengaluru airport

Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru got another fake bomb threat email on Thursday, claiming explosives were hidden inside the airport—even in a toilet pipeline.
The message name-dropped terrorist Ajmal Kasab and warned of a backup plan if the first didn't work.
Security teams did full checks but found nothing; it turned out to be yet another hoax.

TL;DR

Cases filed; tracking down the culprit

Police have filed cases and are tracking down who's behind these emails.
This isn't the first time: similar threats came in on June 13 and 16, plus earlier this month at the city's passport office and even the Chief Minister's residence, with references to Kasab and Savukku Shankar.
Because of all this, security has been stepped up at major public spots around Bengaluru.
