Fake sales tax officers steal truck carrying ₹4cr steel rebars
Early Friday morning on Sohna-Palwal Road, at least five men pretending to be sales tax officers stopped a truck carrying at least ₹4 crore worth of steel rebars.
They used an unmarked white Mahindra Bolero, pulled over the 18-wheeler, and made off with both the truck and its cargo after forcing out the driver.
Driver blindfolded released in Piruka village
The driver was blindfolded at gunpoint and taken away in the SUV while two of the gang drove off with the truck.
He was eventually released at Piruka village in Rajasthan's Bharatpur district. After seeking help from commuters and reaching the nearest police station, he reported everything to Palwal police after reaching Palwal.
An FIR was registered and police are now checking CCTV footage to track down both the missing truck and those behind this bold heist.
