Family appeals for safe return of Meerut man stranded in Iran
Sachin Saini, a 28-year-old from Meerut, is stuck in a steel factory near Isfahan, Iran, after traveling there for work in February.
He and other workers—mostly Indians—are caught in the middle of gunfire and explosions as tensions rise in the region.
His family has reached out to Indian authorities for help getting him home.
140 other Indians also trapped
Saini's brother Mohit shared that about 140 other Indians are also trapped with Sachin and want to leave, but the factory management isn't letting them go.
The family has even turned to local politicians for support.
Meanwhile, India is stepping up evacuation efforts from Iran due to the ongoing conflict, but getting everyone out remains challenging.
