Flood alert issued as Karnataka dams near capacity

Karnataka has put out a flood alert for areas along the River Cauvery, with the Krishnarajasagar (KRS) dam just four feet away from its max capacity thanks to heavy monsoon rains.
Officials say water releases could hit 30,000 cusecs, so people in low-lying spots are being told to move out for safety.
