According to Airbnb's latest survey, over half of Indian travelers take at least one winter trip each year—and Goa and Kerala are the clear favorites for their beaches, backwaters, and chill vibes.
The data comes from both Airbnb search trends and a nationwide poll.

Rajasthan and the Himalayan states (think Manali, Mussoorie) are also big on everyone's list.
Meanwhile, places like Agatti (Lakshadweep), Guwahati, smaller cities in Punjab, and hidden Kerala gems are catching on fast—reflecting a rising interest in these destinations.

Seasonal holidays and relaxation tie as the biggest reasons for heading out this winter. Cultural experiences are close behind.
Gen Z and Millennials make up almost half of these travelers—many seeking spiritual-leisure spots like Varanasi or Vrindavan.
