Goa nightclub fire: Luthra brothers face serious charges after tragedy

After a devastating fire at Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in Goa on December 6 that left 25 people dead, club owners Gaurav and Saurabh Luthra have been charged with culpable homicide (not amounting to murder).
The brothers tried to escape to Thailand right after the incident, but were tracked down and brought back to India.

What happens next?

Both Luthras are now in police custody following their deportation from Thailand.
Five managers and staff from the club have also been arrested as police dig deeper into what went wrong—especially around safety lapses like using fireworks indoors.
