Hakki-Pikki trio stranded in Mozambique seek urgent Indian government help
India
Three people from the Hakki-Pikki community, Milan Kumar, Kavya, and Gambhir, are stuck in Mozambique after their visas expired.
They handed over their passports and paid local agents to extend their stay, but have not heard back or gotten their documents returned.
Now, they cannot go outside their place and are asking the Indian government for urgent help.
Hakki-Pikki previously stranded in Ghana
This is not the first time the Hakki-Pikki have faced such trouble abroad.
Known for traveling overseas to sell herbal products, some members were also stranded in Ghana earlier this year.
Their situation highlights ongoing challenges faced by this community while trying to run businesses internationally.
