How Umar Nabi dodged police for 10 days before Red Fort attack
India
Umar Nabi, the main suspect behind the recent Red Fort attack, managed to stay ahead of police for nearly 10 days after his associate was arrested on October 30.
CCTV caught Nabi slipping out of Al-Falah University right after his partner's arrest.
How he stayed off the radar
Nabi escaped through a side gate, tried calling contacts from numbers scribbled on paper, and was picked up by his accomplice Shoaib in a white i20—the same car later used in the Red Fort attack.
He traveled through local markets, grabbed kebabs, charged his phone at a pharmacy (where people noticed he seemed anxious), and kept moving between towns like Nuh.
On November 10, Nabi drove to Delhi and carried out the attack.
