Hyderabad: Young software engineer, friends busted for drug trafficking

India

A 21-year-old software engineer, Sushmitha Devi (aka Lilly), her boyfriend Ummidi Immanuel, and two others were arrested in Hyderabad for allegedly running a drug distribution ring.
During the raid, police seized hydroponic ganja, MDMA, LSD blotters, ecstasy pills, and items worth around ₹3 lakh, plus cash and mobile phones.

How the group operated

Police say Immanuel sourced drugs from various suppliers on the dark web and paid using crypto wallets like Binance.
Lilly managed online payments and handled distribution when Immanuel was away.
Sai Kumar took care of local deliveries, while Ayyappa was reportedly a consumer.
All four now face charges under the NDPS Act as police dig deeper into their network and financial trails.
