Education Minister Pradhan credits NEP 2020
IIT Bombay (134th), IIT Madras (170th), and IIT Kanpur (221st) also scored high. But it's not just about the IITs; Jamia Millia Islamia and VIT hit their best-ever rankings too.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan credits recent improvements to the National Education Policy 2020, saying it's helped boost research and innovation across campuses.
Plus, Indian universities are getting noticed globally for strong research citations and employer reputation, even though attracting international students is still a challenge.
