IMD warns of cold wave and dense fog across India
Heads up: The IMD says a cold wave is set to hit parts of Telangana from December 12-14, North Interior Karnataka from December 12-14 (with a severe cold wave on December 14), and Interior Karnataka on December 14-15.
Dense fog is also rolling into East Uttar Pradesh until December 16, plus Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi on December 15-16.
Some areas in central and eastern India are also in for chilly weather.
Why bother?
This means it's going to feel extra cold in the mornings—think layers!
Fog could make travel tricky with visibility dropping as low as 50 meters in some spots.
The IMD recommends staying updated on forecasts and being careful if you're out early or late.
If you're up north or traveling soon, keep an eye out for light rain or even snow in places like Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh this week.
