India develops Agni-5 'Bunker buster' missile variant

India is building a new version of its Agni-5 missile that can carry a massive 7.5-tonne bunker-buster warhead.
Inspired by recent US strikes on fortified sites in Iran, this upgrade means the missile could smash through 80-100 meters of underground defenses—making it much tougher for hidden targets to stay safe.

TL;DR

DRDO is working on next-gen Agni-5 variants

The DRDO is leading the charge on these next-gen Agni-5 variants, which include both an airburst warhead (for wide-area impact) and a deep-penetrating one (for underground targets).
These hypersonic missiles can travel up to Mach 20, carry huge payloads, and have a range of about 2,500km.
All in all, it's a big step for India's homegrown defense tech and its ability to handle serious threats in the region.
