India dismisses OIC's statement on Operation Sindoor
India has firmly rejected the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)'s recent statement siding with Pakistan on Jammu and Kashmir.
The Ministry of External Affairs called the comments "unwarranted" and "factually incorrect," saying Pakistan is misusing international platforms and turning terrorism into a political tool.
India-OIC tensions
This disagreement isn't just about words—it highlights ongoing tensions over Kashmir, especially after a deadly terror attack in Pahalgam.
India says its recent Operation Sindoor was a necessary act of self-defense, not aggression, and insists Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India.
The MEA also questioned the credibility of international groups like the OIC when they overlook issues like terrorism from Pakistan, making peace efforts in the region even tougher.
