India's rise is unstoppable, says Jaishankar at Raisina Dialogue
At the Raisina Dialogue in New Delhi, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar confidently stated that "India's rise is unstoppable," emphasizing that India's future will be shaped by its own strengths, not by outside help or others' mistakes.
His remarks came two days after a US official clarified that America won't give India the kind of economic aid it once gave China.
Jaishankar emphasizes self-reliance in India's growth story
Jaishankar made it clear that India's growth story is all about self-reliance.
He pointed out, "The rise of India will be determined by India," and stressed focusing on the Indian Ocean region and working with partners to tackle global challenges together.
Global power shift and its implications
He also talked about how global power is shifting: gone are the days when one country called all the shots. Now, technology, demographics, and regional strengths matter more than ever.
Jaishankar summed it up: "No country today has hegemony over so many domains that it is an overall hegemon."
The event's theme this year was all about asserting identity and moving forward together.
