Security measures
'Plan Kukulkan' launched to ensure safety during World Cup
Despite the violence, FIFA and Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum are confident that it won't affect the World Cup. The plan covers host cities and nearby tourist destinations with a security deployment of "just over 99,000 personnel." This includes 20,000 military personnel and 55,000 police officers among others.
