IndiGo Bengaluru to Lucknow flight returns after hijack note found

An IndiGo flight from Bengaluru to Lucknow found a handwritten hijack threat in the bathroom shortly after takeoff and had to turn back after 51 minutes in the air, landing safely back in Bengaluru as emergency protocols kicked in.
Threat called hoax after inspections
After landing, security teams isolated the plane and helped everyone deplane calmly.
Bomb squads and sniffer dogs inspected the aircraft and passenger baggage but did not find anything dangerous, so the threat was called a hoax.
Authorities are now investigating who left the note.
IndiGo has not commented yet, but this whole episode is a reminder of why tight airport security matters.
