IndiGo flight cancelations send airfares soaring

IndiGo's flight cancelations in Delhi caused chaos, leaving travelers scrambling and ticket prices through the roof.
Flights to popular spots like Goa and Chennai shot up—Air India fares hit ₹76,863 (Delhi-Goa) and Akasa Air's Delhi-Bangalore tickets crossed ₹48,000.

Trains packed, taxis overpriced

With trains fully booked, people had to split taxis for as much as ₹30,000—still less than flight prices.
Things got a bit better only after SpiceJet added 100 extra flights late Friday.

Costly detours and long waits

Some groups had no choice but to stay in hotels or take marathon bus rides.
Families with kids faced long airport waits or switched to trains if they could.
All in all, travel plans got expensive and way more complicated for everyone caught up in the mess.
