IndiGo flight chaos: Ministry steps in with helplines

IndiGo flights have faced major cancelations since December 2, leaving a lot of travelers stranded due to crew shortages, rough winter weather, and new work-hour rules.
To help out, the Aviation Ministry has set up round-the-clock helplines (011-24610843, 011-24693963, 096503-91859) so passengers can get updates or support anytime.

What's being done to fix things?

India's aviation authority (DGCA) is keeping a close eye on IndiGo and has told them to step up their game and share regular progress reports.
IndiGo will temporarily cut back some flights from December 8 to steady things and hopes to be back on track by February 2026.
For now, no fines—just a lot of monitoring as everyone works toward smoother skies.
