IndiGo gets 48-hour deadline to return lost baggage
If your bags went missing after recent IndiGo flight delays or cancelations, there's some good news: the Ministry of Civil Aviation has told IndiGo to find and return all separated baggage within 48 hours.
Plus, the airline must finish all pending passenger refunds by 8:00pm on Sunday, December 7, 2025.
This move comes after a wave of disruptions left travelers in a tough spot.
Support centers and no extra fees for affected flyers
To help out frustrated passengers, IndiGo now has to set up special support centers for handling refunds and travel changes—no rescheduling fees allowed while things get back to normal.
The Ministry also wants airlines to be upfront about baggage tracking and delivery times, with compensation as per passenger rights.
Automatic refunds will keep rolling until flights are running smoothly again.
