A 32-year-old migrant worker from West Bengal was arrested in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, after allegedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in Aadhanur village.

This case comes as concerns about safety are growing across Tamil Nadu.
Tamil Nadu BJP President Nainar Nagendran visited a Chennai hospital to support the family of another young victim and said there have been 48 reported crimes against women in just 20 days.
DMK leader Anbil Mahesh also spoke out, urging stricter action to prevent such incidents.
