Karnataka High Court quashes case against Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar
Karnataka's chief minister D.K. Shivakumar is officially off the hook after the Karnataka High Court quashed a criminal case against him.
He was accused of sharing Congress social media posts that allegedly edited BJP protest placards to make it look like a confessional statement on scams, a move that sparked some political drama online.
Shivakumar allegedly shared altered BJP placards
The original BJP placards said, "I am also kar sevak, arrest me too," during a protest over activist Srikanth Pujari's arrest.
After these were allegedly altered and shared from Shivakumar's accounts, police registered a case following a court order.
But this week, Justice M. Nagaprasanna reviewed everything and simply said, "Allowed and quashed," closing the case for good and clearing Shivakumar of all charges.
