Shah was arrested back in 2019 for allegedly raising funds and stirring unrest against the government, and officially charged with terror financing in 2022. He argued that his trial is dragging on—with only 15 out of more than 400 witnesses heard in four years—and said there's no solid evidence against him. Still, the court decided he'll stay behind bars for now.
