Kerala budget backs private investment, ₹1,115.48cr and ₹1,558.08cr, PSUs unmentioned
Kerala's latest budget is all about boosting private investment: ₹1,115.48 crore is set aside for the industrial sector, and ₹1,558.08 crore for Industries and Minerals sector.
Interestingly, the budget does not mention projects for revitalizing public sector undertakings (PSUs) this time.
Kerala land pooling and investment zone
The budget introduces easier land rules for businesses and a Land Pooling Framework to unlock government land for big projects.
There's a Special Investment Zone in the works to attract manufacturing, logistics, and renewable energy players with better infrastructure and quick approvals.
