India
The Kerala High Court has ordered a criminal investigation after nearly 474.9gm of gold, meant for plating copper plates at the Sabarimala temple, went missing.
The gold was given to sponsor Unnikrishnan Potti but never returned to the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB), raising serious concerns about misappropriation.

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) will dig into this case and other possible gold-related issues at the temple, including misappropriation of gold from idols and decorative frames.
To keep things transparent, retired judge K.T. Sankaran will start a full audit of the temple's valuables from October 11, 2025.
