Kerala rains trigger orange alert in 4 districts

Kerala's hilly regions are on high alert as an orange warning has been issued for Wayanad, Malappuram, and Idukki on June 25.
These areas could see "very heavy" rainfall thanks to intensified winds.
Most other districts are under a yellow alert, while Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, and Alappuzha may get isolated heavy showers.

TL;DR

Wayanad sees over 100mm rainfall

Wayanad's Meppadi panchayat has already seen rainfall touch 100mm, raising worries about landslides and rising river levels.
Authorities have evacuated workers from risky spots after a minor landslip and set up no-go zones to keep people safe.
The disaster management team is keeping a close eye on things as conditions develop.
