Kerala woman murdered over financial dispute

India

A missing person case in Panachamoodu, Thiruvananthapuram took a grim turn when 48-year-old Priyamvada was found murdered. Her body was initially hidden under her neighbor's bed and later buried behind the house. Police say Vinod, the neighbor's 46-year-old son-in-law, confessed to killing her—apparently over financial issues between them.

How the case unfolded

The investigation moved quickly after Vinod's mother-in-law noticed bloodstains at home and told a local priest, who then contacted police. Vinod was arrested on June 15, and his brother is also in custody for evidence collection. Police are still gathering details and formal charges are expected soon.
