Madhya Pradesh issues 12-digit APAAR ID to centralize student records
India
Madhya Pradesh has started giving students a new 12-digit APAAR ID: Think of it as an academic Aadhaar.
The goal? To keep all your school records safe and in one place, making life simpler if you ever switch schools or colleges.
So far, about 1 crore students (that's nearly 78.5% in the state) already have their IDs.
Part of national student ID initiative
This move is part of India's "One Nation, One Student ID" push, aiming to give every student a single digital identity for their entire academic journey.
It should make tracking achievements and transferring credits way smoother for everyone.
