Maharashtra approves Reliance University with 410 acres in Dronagiri
Big news for students: Maharashtra has greenlit Reliance University, a new private state university backed by Chairperson of Reliance Foundation Nita Ambani and the Reliance Foundation.
The main campus will cover a huge 410 acres in Dronagiri, while an interim campus at Ulwe is already up and running with modern classrooms, hostels, and sports facilities.
Nita Ambani outlines global education ambition
Chairperson of Reliance Foundation Nita Ambani says the goal is to put India on the global education map through top-notch academics and research.
The university will have seven schools (think engineering, management, law, humanities, medicine, architecture, and education) with a special focus on hot fields like AI.
Expect cool features like a research park, medi-city for health innovation, arts spaces for performances, and programs from undergraduate to Ph.D.
Ambani's vision? Turn Mumbai into a "knowledge city" where future leaders are shaped.
