Maharashtra weather: Rain, hail likely from March 17
After very high temperatures on March 13 (Amravati hit 41.8 Celsius), Maharashtra's Vidarbha and central regions are in for a big weather switch.
Starting March 17, the weather bureau says expect rain, thunderstorms, strong winds, lightning, and even hail through March 20.
Farmers must cover their harvests
This sudden shift could mess with daily plans (think wet commutes and other travel disruptions), but it's especially tough for farmers.
With Rabi crops being harvested now, rain or hail could ruin produce.
The Agriculture Department is urging farmers to quickly cover or store their harvests and keep an eye on weather updates.
Know where rain is expected
People in Vidarbha, Marathwada, Khandesh, and parts of Central Maharashtra should prep for overcast skies with rain, thunderstorms, gusty winds (and possible hail) between March 18-20.
Stay safe and plan ahead!
