Maharashtra's ₹1,500 pension for women: How to apply
Maharashtra's Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana has a beneficiary list of about 1.53 crore women.
The scheme provides ₹1,500 a month to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts, although disbursements have at times been delayed or held pending e-KYC, NPCI/Aadhaar bank-seeding issues and election-related restrictions.
To qualify, women need to be Maharashtra residents aged 21 to 65, be from families earning under ₹2.5 lakh a year, and have Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.
Digital verification filtered out 90 lakh ineligible applicants
A huge digital verification drive filtered out 90 lakh ineligible applicants, including fake entries, saving the state ₹17,000 crore.
The process aims to make sure genuine women benefit quickly and fairly.
If you're applying, remember the e-KYC deadline is March 31, 2026, and a correction/re-activation window is open until March 31, 2026; you'll need old ID proof and your Aadhaar details handy for a smooth application.
