Manoj Jarange Patil says assassination plot threatens upcoming Mumbai march
Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange Patil says there's a plan to assassinate him and disrupt his upcoming protest march to Mumbai.
Speaking from the protest site at Antarwali Sarati village in Maharashtra's Jalna district, he accused people linked to ruling parties of being sent into the march to create chaos and target him during the protests.
Jarange Patil continues Maratha hunger strike
Despite these threats, Jarange Patil is sticking with his hunger strike for Maratha reservation. It's now on its 16th day.
He's urging supporters to stay peaceful and united, even as he plans a big march on September 15 and an indefinite fast at Mumbai's Azad Maidan starting September 19.
He insists the government should extend Kunbi OBC benefits to eligible Marathas, saying he has massive historical records backing this demand.
