Messi's Mumbai visit: Police issue traffic advisory for GOAT tour

India

Lionel Messi is scheduled to be in Mumbai on December 14 for his GOAT India Tour, and the city's buzzing about it.
With huge crowds expected, police have rolled out major traffic restrictions across South Mumbai from noon to 11pm—just in time for his big events at the Cricket Club of India and Wankhede Stadium.

Getting around: What you need to know

Forget stadium parking—it's not allowed. If you're heading out, stick to trains, BEST busses, or the Metro.
Key roads like C, D, E, F, G Roads and N.S. Road (both ways), plus Veer Nariman and Dinshaw Vachha Roads are off-limits for parking and pay-and-park is suspended there too.

Closures & alternatives: Plan ahead

Some main stretches—including Chandra Bose northbound from Air India to Mafatlal Junction and both sides of Coastal Road between Worli/Tardeo and Marine Drive—will be closed.
Police suggest using routes like Ramnath Poddar Chowk or Maharshi Karve Road instead.

Special event vibes (and a heads-up)

If you're near Churchgate, there's limited parking on H.T. Parekh Marg and Dorabaji Tata Road, along with other locations like Jamanalal Bajaj Marg, Vidhan Bhavan (MMRDA), and smaller lots on NCPA Marg, Vinay K. Shah Marg, and Hornimal Circle.
The highlight? Messi is expected to be joined by high-profile guests, including Shah Rukh Khan and Sachin Tendulkar, at 4:30pm before hitting Wankhede for a seven-a-side match at 5pm.
