Miyazaki mango offered to Lord Ram at Ayodhya Ram Mandir
A super rare Miyazaki mango, also called the "Egg of the Sun" and worth up to ₹3 lakh per kilogram, was offered to Lord Ram at Ayodhya's Ram Mandir this Monday.
Keeping with tradition, the first ripe mango of the season was presented along with a Tulsi leaf as a symbol of devotion.
Grown in Ayodhya by Omprakash Singh
This pricey mango wasn't imported. It was grown right in Ayodhya by farmer Omprakash Singh, who planted the sapling two years ago just to see if it would work.
His tree gave about a dozen fruits this year, each packed with sweetness and vitamins.
Singh's orchard also grows other cool varieties like Thailand's "Banana Mango," Australia's "R2E2," and Indian favorites like Chaunsa and Dasheri.
The offering is seen as both spiritually meaningful and a proud moment for local farming.
