Monsoon revival expected amidst intensifying heatwave

After a brief pause, the southwest monsoon is making a comeback thanks to cyclonic activity over the Bay of Bengal. Expect rain to reach Central and East India between June 12-18, and Northwest India by June 25.

Heatwave conditions are still prevailing in many parts

The late monsoon has made heatwaves in northern and central India even tougher, affecting daily life. Relief is on the way as temperatures are set to drop with the rains. Most regions will see above-normal rainfall—good news for many—though southern parts might get less than usual.
