Mumbai courts evacuated after bomb threat emails
India
On Thursday, the Bombay High Court and several magistrate courts in Mumbai had to be quickly evacuated after receiving bomb threat emails.
The first alert came from Bandra court earlier in the day, leading to a pause in all court activities as everyone—judges, lawyers, staff, and visitors—were safely moved out.
No explosives found; police treating threats as hoaxes
Bomb squads and sniffer dogs searched every corner but found nothing dangerous.
The police commissioner reassured everyone there was no real danger and that all safety steps were followed.
Cyber teams are now tracking down who sent the emails.
This isn't the first time—similar fake threats have hit both Mumbai and Delhi courts recently.
