Mumbai just had its coldest night of the season
India
Mumbai felt a real chill on Tuesday night, with temperatures dropping to 17.4°C at Santacruz—almost 4°C lower than the usual November minimum.
Colaba wasn't spared either, clocking in at a cooler-than-normal 21.5°C, according to the IMD.
Why does this matter?
The sudden cold snap is thanks to northerly winds bringing in dry, cool air since early November.
While things are expected to warm up soon, air quality took a hit too: Navynagar-Colaba recorded an AQI of 231 with high PM2.5 levels on Tuesday night.
What's next?
IMD says temperatures should rise over the next couple of days as easterly winds bring back some moisture, so don't pack away your lighter clothes just yet!
