Mumbai Metro Line 8: Fast airport rides are coming

India

Mumbai just got the go-ahead for Metro Line 8, a big upgrade for city travel.
This ₹23,000 crore project will link Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport with Navi Mumbai International Airport, slashing the trip to just 30 minutes.
With NMIA expected to begin operations soon, the new Metro Line 8 has been approved and is moving toward the tendering stage.

What's cool about it?

The Gold Line will stretch nearly 35km with 20 stations—six underground and 14 elevated—and is expected to serve over a million people daily by 2031.
It'll connect with six other metro lines, local trains, and major bus stops, making commutes way smoother for everyone.
The project uses a public-private partnership model and has just opened up for competitive bidding after getting its final approvals.
