NCR Regional Plan 2041 adds 4 cities and ₹5000cr boost
Big changes are coming to the NCR!
The Regional Plan 2041 is all about handling a population jump: The NCR is expected to grow from 5.81 crore people in 2011 to nearly 11.3 crore by 2041.
To keep Delhi from getting overcrowded, the plan introduces four new cities, a ₹5,000 crore boost for urban centers, and high-speed transit so you can get across the region in just 30 minutes.
Namo Cities designed for local jobs
These Namo Cities are designed to be self-sustaining, with local jobs so fewer people need to move into Delhi.
There's also over ₹20 lakh crore of potential investment in housing, transport and civic infrastructure.
Experts say making this happen on time is key: places like Faridabad and Greater Noida could help take some pressure off Delhi if everything goes smoothly.
