NIA conducts raids in terror conspiracy case

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) just carried out raids at 18 spots across Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.
They were targeting people suspected of planning to bring back terrorism in Punjab through pro-Khalistani groups—mainly by organizing targeted killings and extortion.
The goal was to break up illegal arms supply chains and stop violent activities from spreading across these states.

TL;DR

Accused used encrypted apps and virtual numbers to dodge police

The NIA recently charged Jatinder Singh (aka Joti), who was caught in Mumbai last December, for moving illegal guns from Madhya Pradesh to gangsters linked with Babbar Khalsa International.
These weapons ended up with people connected to known terrorist Lakhbir Singh (Landa) and gangster Pavittar Batala.
To dodge police, the accused used encrypted apps and virtual numbers.
The investigation is still on, with the NIA also looking into foreign links—including suspects like Harwinder Singh (Rinda).
Another alleged arms supplier, Baljeet Singh (Rana Bhai), is already in custody.
