NIA court issues warrant for Hizbul Mujahideen chief

India

A special NIA court in Budgam has issued a non-bailable warrant for Mohammad Yousuf Shah, better known as Syed Salah-ud-Din—the top leader of Pakistan-based terror group Hizbul Mujahideen.
The case dates back to 2012 and involves charges under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and criminal intimidation.

Police told to arrest Salah-ud-Din, trial may go on without him

The Jammu and Kashmir Police have been ordered to arrest Salah-ud-Din, but he's reportedly in Pakistan and dodging authorities.
Official documents confirm his location outside India.
If he doesn't return, the court can still move forward with the trial in his absence once prosecution is approved—so the legal process won't be put on hold.
