If you were planning a scenic ride on the Nilgiri Mountain Railway this weekend, here's a heads-up: all trains between Mettupalayam and Udhagamandalam are suspended from November 8 to 10.
Heavy rains triggered landslides, leaving tracks blocked by mud, boulders, and fallen trees.
Trains 56136 56137 and specials affected
Railway teams are out there trying to clear the mess, but tough weather and tricky terrain are slowing things down.
Trains 56136 and 56137, plus a couple of special services on November 8 and 9, are all affected.
The good news? Crews say they're doing everything they can to get trains running safely again soon.
