No cold wave alert for Mumbai, confirms IMD

India

Mumbai is not under any cold wave alert, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
For a cold wave alert here, minimum temperatures at two stations must fall below 15°C and be 5°C below average for two consecutive days—something that hasn't happened.

Why does this matter?

If you're hoping for sweater weather, Mumbai's December is still pretty warm—days hover around 31-32 °C and nights stay between 20-24°C.
While other regions like Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha are seeing much colder nights, Mumbai just gets a brief cool breeze before things heat up again.
Expect another short cool spell toward late December or early January.
