Odisha: Class 3 student killed, 2 injured as notice board falls

At Gandhi Nagar Ashram, a government school in Kotpad, Odisha, a portion of a wall with an inauguration plaque suddenly collapsed in the hostel area.
Eight-year-old Premananda Bhatra lost his life, and two classmates were hurt.
The injured students were quickly taken to Kotpad Community Health Centre and then shifted to Jeypore district hospital for more care.

What's happening next?

The school serves SC/ST kids from Classes 1-8 and is run by the state's development department.
District welfare officer Sunil Kumar Tandi shared that an inquiry team led by the Jeypore sub-collector will investigate what went wrong and report back to officials.
