Over 100 Bihar cops hospitalized after eating food
More than 100 trainee police jawans in Bihar landed in the hospital on Friday after eating lunch at the Banka Police Line mess.
Right after their meal, many started feeling sick with vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach pain.
Thankfully, most are now stable, though a few are still under medical care.
Investigation ordered into the matter
Top district officials visited the hospital to check on everyone and have ordered an investigation into what went wrong with the food.
Authorities say an investigation is underway to establish whether there was contamination or a hygiene lapse.
Similar incident in Madhepura
The following day, 70 students in Madhepura also fell ill after their school meal.
One girl is still critical and local residents suspected a lizard may have fallen into the food.
These back-to-back incidents are raising serious questions about food safety in public institutions across Bihar.
