Over 100 hospitalized after Tamil Nadu temple festival
A temple festival in Kalvimadai village, Tamil Nadu, took a bad turn when over 100 people—many of them women and kids—fell sick after eating contaminated food. Most had symptoms like vomiting and dizziness and had to be rushed to the hospital. Some were shifted to a bigger hospital in Madurai as their condition got worse. Doctors think the cause might be tainted drinking water served at the event.
Everyone is expected to recover soon
Thankfully, everyone has been moved out of critical care and is expected to recover soon. The health department is investigating what went wrong so it doesn't happen again. For now, doctors are keeping a close eye on everyone affected.
