India
At the G-7 Summit in France, Prime Minister Modi pitched a worldwide Global Skills Partnership to help young talent from India and the Global South find more opportunities abroad.
He wants G-7 countries to team up with Indian skills and ownership from developing nations, aiming to boost global trade and connectivity through a new initiative called IMPACT.
Modi suggests IMEC expansion amid delays
Modi also suggested expanding big infrastructure projects like the India Middle East Economic Corridor (IMEC) to places like Africa, Latin America, and Pacific Islands, though IMEC is currently delayed due to ongoing conflicts.
He highlighted how international financial support is crucial for countries struggling with fuel, fertilizer, and food shortages caused by crises in West Asia.
