PM Modi to attend International Yoga Day in Andhra Pradesh
On June 21, 2025, PM Modi will head the International Day of Yoga celebrations in Visakhapatnam, where over three lakh people are expected to do yoga together along a massive 26-km stretch.
This year's theme, "Yoga for One Earth, One Health," is all about unity and well-being—and they're aiming to smash several Guinness World Records while they're at it.
Yoga at over 1 lakh spots in Andhra Pradesh
Andhra Pradesh is going big: synchronized yoga sessions will happen at over one lakh spots statewide, with five lakh people joining just in Vizag.
A highlight? 25,000 tribal students will try for a world record by doing Surya Namaskars non-stop for 108 minutes.
With registrations crossing 2.39 crore across India, it's shaping up to be huge.
How the day will unfold in Vizag
Organizers are ready—326 zones for participants, lakhs of T-shirts and mats handed out, plus more than 3,000 busses on duty.
Safety's covered too: around 10,000 police officers and over 1,200 CCTV cameras are being deployed along the route.
Drones will keep an eye from above so everything runs smoothly on this massive day.
